What’s happening to the way we search for news?

In short, it’s changed and still changing. The excellent and informative haven for enthusiastic information professionals, otherwise known as FreePint, is busy investigating this topic at present.

I’m delighted to be involved with this and hope to have an article going out soon with FreePint on the changing climate for news searching and why the pressure is on for the heavyweight premium sources to keep their subscribers in a world of quick email alerting, social media alerting and a plethora of free news services, both general and specific.

I’ll post a link to the free blog summary when it comes out. It’s certainly an area where disruptive searching is taking place!
