Taking search a step further: web intelligence

I commented on Recorded Future a few years ago when it first came out (From retro-search to future-search).

The site has flourished over the years and has recently carried out a series of interviews which look at “web intelligence“. This is essentially harnessing all that the internet has to offer to produce valuable insight, whether it be for competitor intelligence, consumer intelligence, health demographics, assessing the future likely impact of a new technology or evaluating risk…the list could go on.

The interviews are quite short and loosely structured around a series of questions. The interviews reveal a consensus of opinion that the web offers huge potential, much of which is currently untapped, but that this will – indeed already is beginning to – change.
